A history of the famous expedition, profusely illustrated from paintings by Karl Bodmer, George Catlin and Charles Russell, plus photographs and facsimiles, and 30 detailed drawings by Richard Schlecht. The author and his family retraced the Lewis and Clark trail to write this book for the National Geographic Society.
