Raina Vernay is a slave to her brother-in-law's brutal bidding in a seedy Louisiana saloon. She's at the end of her rope, when a mysterious stranger, Ty Kincaid, arrives in town from Mexico, headed for Arkansas by way of the riverboats, and Raina's mind starts churning a plan.
