Campaigns in the Pacific chronicles the epic struggle of America and her allies against Imperial Japan: fighting vast air, land and sea battles across an ocean covering two-thirds of the world's surface. Waged against the background of the war in Europe, the Pacific campaign made WW II a truly global conflict. This DVD begins with the battle for the Marshall Islands, midpoint in the Pacific Campaign, to the nuclear annihilation of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Pacific Campaign, to the nuclear annihilation of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which ultimately led to the final surrender of Imperial Japan on the USS Missouri in 1945.
