Description
Maddy and Jack Hunter appear to have a storybook marriage. She is an award-winning TV anchorwoman, he is head of her network. Yet at home in Georgetown, things are different. As Maddy's career has soared, Jack's words have developed a pattern of subtle putdowns, control, and jealousy. Then the President's wife asks her to join a new Commission on Violence Against Women. Listening to the tales brought before the commission, Maddy slowly begins to see that she, too, is the victim of abuse. With the help of Bill Alexander, who works on the commission, she takes the steps necessary to change her life.
